The Lamson Adventures!!!!
Templeton Trail, Palmer Park, Colorado
Templeton Trail, Palmer Park, N38.88021 W104.77235, was fun in the snow. This is another one of those hidden gems. The views from this are outstanding. You can see Pikes Peak and the city. The photo op is great. As fun as this place is during the summer, its even better during the winter. Bring your dogs, they are everywhere on the trails.
Palmer Park covers about 737 acres, and has a kids' playground, ball fields, some roads and overlooks, picnic areas and a LOT of trails. There are numerous parking areas with hiking trails leading off in various directions. This is a great place for hiking. However, trust me when I say it's easy to lose track of where you parked, and how to get back to your car. The hilly topography, trees and the numerous unmarked trails, make this an ideal place to use a GPS if you have one. If you do go during the winter, bring a pole. There are some areas that get slick.
